So, this was kind of a fun intersection of interests.

Back in 2023, I was one of the main organizers for a "What Were You Wearing?" exhibit at Weber State University. The point of the exhibit, for anyone who doesn't know, is to break down the common rape myth that what someone was wearing had anything to do with their sexual assault. To the contrary; there's a host of other factors, most of which have nothing to do with the victim and everything to do with the perpetrator.

I took a bunch of time out of my day at one point and skipped a class to pin most of our clothes up to boards in the Criminal Justice department's offices, just so it would get done, which was an issue in that I didn't know how to do some of them and I didn't want to mess up. (Great idea, everyone, let's have the one person who needs to know how to do things in detail compulsively volunteer to do everything.)

Anyway, since one of the accounts we were handed had to do with wearing their ACUs and carrying a gun, and my father is in the military, I asked him how best to pin up the uniform. He offered me some guidance on how to adjust the arms, which I did; and I pinned up the rest of the outfits and gave the group some updates.

progress!

The exhibit itself was... honestly fine, but I'll go into that another time.
