Queer Prom 2024 Poster

I didn't want this to get lost, so I figured I would post it somewhere!

This was our poster for the 2024 Queer Prom, which was an event I (not to toot my own horn or anything) did most of the decorating for and a lot of the organizing around. Kit Byrd, our GSA President, did a lot of our reservations and coordinated our food service for the night of; and, honestly, the VP position I was in was kind of a "mastermind behind the mastermind" role until she had to take a step back. I kept track of what we had to do, helped make sure our fliers would stay up, took care of obtaining, painting, customizing, and coordinating our decorations, and kind of generally kept everyone on-task when I wasn't taking care of things myself. On the night of, I also took over decorating and emceeing.

The poster itself was made by WSU's marcom department with a very small edit from me (an additional line of text. Absolutely nothing. They did the work here). I just want it preserved so we have a way to find it later.

All in all, it was a pretty good night! At least, I think everyone had a pretty good time. We had to scramble to find music, but we took requests, a lot of people danced, and I think everyone enjoyed the pasta (when it wasn't unfairly stolen from us. Boooo).

I'll have to find a picture of one of the centerpieces I made. We redid them for Lavgrad later, too, since I liked the design I did.

I'm writing this in November, which is very far off from when this event took place; but I've been thinking about Take Back The Nigh...
